The Senate

The Senate has set out to cancel arrangements of the law as contained in the Police Act, Federal Character Law, Electoral Act, Labor Act, Political Parties Constitutions, that encroach on the privileges of ladies in Nigeria. 

Senate's goal was relied on the reception of a movement on the 2021 International Women's Day with the subject: "Ladies in Leadership: Achieving an equivalent future in a COVID-l9 world #Choose To Challenge". 

The movement was supported by Sen. Betty Apiafi (PDP-Rivers) and co-supported by seven different Senators. 

Apiafi ascending under Order 42 and 52 of the Senate Standing Rules, said the International Women's Day celebrated on March 8, was a day put to the side worldwide to praise the social, monetary, social and political accomplishments of ladies.
